 | See what’s left of Mt Stromlo … by tiabunna Mount Stromlo, just outside Canberra’s south western suburbs, began in 1924 as the site for the Commonwealth Solar Observatory. In 1946 it became a stellar astronomy observatory and since 1957 has been part of the Australian National University School of Astronomy and Astrophysics.  | Crawl through a War Tunnel by bpacker Now if you think I'm in the CuChi Tunnel of Vietnam, you are mistaken, I'm actually in a Penang WWII tunnel, somewhere off the coast of Malaysia! This tunnel was several metres underground in a old abandoned fort (now Penang War Museum) and after crawling around for a while, I had to hoist my self up a tall metal staircase(9.14m) at the end of the tunnel. The great thing about travel may be seeing the world through a different lens, but that doesn't mean the view is always pretty. With this in mind, the travel experts at VirtualTourist.com have come up with a list of "The World's Top 10 Ugliest Buildings and Monuments."
