 | Trans-Mongolian Railway by sachara We travelled to Ulan Baatar by the Trans-Mongolian Railway, a Russian train, leaving from Moscow at tuesday evening and arriving 5 days later in Ulaanbaatar on sunday morning. The Transmongolian railway will arrive in Beijing on monday afternoon. At the platform of Ulaanbaatar we had to say goodbye to our two Russian fellow travellers, who would continue to Beijing. The World’s Top 10 Ugliest Buildings
The great thing about travel may be seeing the world through a different lens, but that doesn’t mean the view is always pretty. With this in mind, the travel experts at VirtualTourist.com have come up with a list of “The World’s Top 10 Ugliest Buildings and Monuments.” General manager, Giampiero Ambrosi talks about the selections: “Some of these picks have all the charm of a bag of nails while others are just jaw-dropping in their complexity. Love them or hate them, the list is certainly entertaining.”
Gone But Never Forgotten
It’s now over two years since we lost one of our beloved members, Kinga_Freespirit.
Living without her physical presence has been hurtful for so many, but her spirit and love will always be in the thoughts of those who knew her. And to always continue and further her loving spirit, Krystyna, Kinga’s mother, has created a foundation in her honor.

The Happiest of Life’s Stages
What is more thrilling and elating than the birth of a baby? The beginning and happiest stage of life has come to member Museeuw and his wife, Meitje, with the birth of their beautiful son , Xinhao. November 6th was the eventful day and we, at the VirtualTourist headquarters, wish them all a big CONGRATULATIONS!
The Saddest of Life’s Stages
Nothing affects one’s heart so sadly as the death of a loved one. And member pres_16 is having to endure this pain with the loss recently of her mother. Her friend, monina_c, tells us she “thanks the VT Community for helping her cope with her loss.”
Our deepest condolences, Priscilla.
