 | Youth Leading the Blind at The Carter Center by littlesam1 I have already written two tips about The Carter Center, but felt this statue from the gardens a the Center deserved its own individual tip. It is an emotionally moving piece of art within the gardens. The statue depicts a young boy leading an older blind person by carrying a stick between them. Hilo Things To Do | |
 | Waipi'o Valley by KiKitC We finally made it to Waipi'o Valley. Just continue up 19 north out of Hilo and follow the signs. This is probably one of the most beautiful spots on our whole trip. The view from the scenic overlook is just enough to make you never want to leave. This offers the quintessential photo for everyone's Hawai'i scrapbook. This valley is held in high regards spiritually by the natives. They believe that the mana of their ancestors can be felt here.... [read more] |

The great thing about travel may be seeing the world through a different lens, but that doesn't mean the view is always pretty. With this in mind, the travel experts at VirtualTourist.com have come up with a list of "The World's Top 10 Ugliest Buildings and Monuments."
